Opticare Sterile Normal Saline is preservative-free and non-irritating saline. Opticare Sterile Normal Saline can be used as a rinsing solution after cleaning and disinfecting lenses before wearing. It can also be used as a soaking medium for dissolving enzyme tablets for a protein removal regime.

Opticare Sterile Normal Saline is a preservative-free solution used for:

1) Rinse contact lenses before wearing.

2) Irrigating wounds or eyes.

Important: It does not disinfect contact lenses and cannot be used to store them. Always use a proper disinfecting solution for storage.

How to use it safely:

• Hands First: Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes, lenses, or the bottle tip.

• Check the Seal: Ensure the bottle seal is intact before first use. Do not use if damaged.

• Avoid Contamination: Do not let the tip of the bottle touch any surface (eye, eyelid, skin, wound, or contact lens) to prevent bacteria from entering the solution.

• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use.

• Expiry:

  • Note the “Use By” date on the bottle. Do not use after this date.

  • Once opened, the 500ml bottle should typically be discarded after 30 days (check the packaging for exact instructions) to ensure sterility.
