Monthly Disposable Contact Lenses
Monthly disposable contact lenses are reusable lenses normally replaced one month after opening, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and your prescribed schedule. They must be removed as directed, rubbed, rinsed, disinfected and stored using fresh compatible solution—never water. Monthly options are available for standard vision correction, astigmatism and presbyopia. Use the exact brand and parameters prescribed for you, and do not extend the replacement date because the lenses were worn only occasionally.

Choosing and Caring for Monthly Contact Lenses
When does the one-month period begin?
For most monthly lenses, the replacement period begins when the blister pack is opened rather than after 30 individual wears. Follow the instructions supplied with the specific product and the schedule given by your eye-care professional.
How should monthly lenses be stored?
Use fresh disinfecting solution every time. Never top up old solution or rinse lenses or cases with tap, bottled or distilled water. Clean and air-dry the case as directed and replace it regularly.
Are monthly lenses right for everyone?
Not necessarily. Comfort and safety depend on lens fit, material, tear film, prescription and care habits. Compare with daily disposable lenses, read our contact-lens FAQ, or consult an eye-care professional before changing replacement schedules.
