How to Choose Toric Contact Lenses
What information does a toric prescription contain?
Along with sphere power, a toric prescription normally includes cylinder and axis values. It may also specify the brand, base curve and diameter because these influence fit and lens stability.
Why can vision fluctuate with a toric lens?
Vision may fluctuate if the lens rotates excessively, does not centre correctly, is inside out, is damaged or has deposits. Remove the lens if it causes discomfort or persistent blur, and arrange a professional assessment rather than changing the axis yourself.
Can I substitute another toric brand?
